The days’s almost done, a glimmer of sun
The work is complete, forced warmth in my seat
Turning the calender, to the latest year, no dates that were
Lost hours to fixate on, a moment that’s gone
Put on a shirt, tie a tie so it hurts
Splash the coffee down, without making a sound
Watch as the seconds pass, in solitude beyond my grasp
One question’s on my lips, when was it missed?
Can’t forget how to breathe
Follow the path in need
Never alone or upset
Work till there’s nothing left
If nothings really left
Then I can leave tonight
The loss of something meaningless
Is not an oversight
I’m waiting in line, not wasting my time
I’m waiting in line, not wasting my time
I’m waiting in line, not wasting my time
Waiting in line
Large head and a crippled past
I shut down and I fill up fast
Cold nights all steal the day
Colour’s gone what’s left is grey
