Ballroom No. 26
Now that I’ve got my own ballroom
Now that all of my shoes have a shelf
Now that the music’s without you
I sit here and pity myself
I painted the walls brighter than white
Outside the fall has its own special light
Though I’ve been longing for ages
Just to sit as I do with my pen
My drawings still lack motivation
And I pity myself once again
I still miss the sound of you playing chords
Now that it’s quiet at least I hear my ownthoughts
I need a lampshadeTake the brightness away
I need a lampshadeTake the brightness away
You know at the end of the dayIt’s just me and my ballroom
