I would be nobody
If no one was obsessed with what I have
And if you hate me for it
The tabloids print me out as famous friend
So if you hate me for it

And I don't know when it started but it's fun
I hope the ride's not done
And everyone asks me
"Will you stop?"

And I've a glass of water
I stole it from a party as a joke
I didn't get invited
So I brought the really pretty folks
They asked if they could join in
I let 'em come so I could tell you now
They asked me why I'm famous
I told them I was gonna be somehow
