A tiny hand holding the paint
With red and blue, I tried to create
A world of purple, a grape-colored dream
Just like the ones I used to believe
The purple I made was far too dark
I mixed in yellow to find a spark
Yet the color I dreamed of drifted astray
Draining to gray as it slipped away
It’s all the same shade of purple, you see
Shining differently for you and me
Deep or pale, in the end we’ll find
Every color we seek is intertwined
As a child, I was so sure
The color I made was a grape’s allure
But looking back now, it seems so clear
It was blueberry’s hue, bright and near
The color fades in my memory’s frame
But the thrill I felt still burns the same
Through the wavering hands of younger me
I found a light that set my heart free
It’s all the same shade of purple, you see
Shining differently for you and me
Deep or pale, in the end we’ll find
Every color we seek is intertwined
Purple can’t exist alone, you know
Red’s passion and blue’s calm let it glow
And the white of space brings it to life
A color where dreams quietly thrive
It’s all the same shade of purple, you see
Shining differently for you and me
Deep or pale, in the end we’ll find
Every color we seek is intertwined
The paints I held in my little hands
Have blurred but still hold their stance
Grape or blueberry, it doesn’t fade
They colored the world that I once made
A tiny hand holding the paint
With red and blue, I tried to create
A world of purple, a grape-colored dream
Just like the ones I used to believe
The purple I made was far too dark
I mixed in yellow to find a spark
