on which the Prince of glory died
my richest gain I count but loss

Forbid it Lord that I should boast
save in the death of Christ my God
All the vain things that charm me most
I sacrifice them through his blood
See from his head his hands his feet

Did e'er such love and sorrow meet
or thorns compose so rich a crown
Were the whole realm of nature mine
that were a present far too small
Love so amazing so divine
demands my soul my life my all

우리가 생각할 때에
세상에 속한 욕심을
헛된 줄 알고 버리네
죽으신 구주 밖에는
자랑을 말게 하소서
보혈의 공로 힘 입어
교만한  맘을 버리네
못 박힌 손 발 보오니
큰 자비 나타내셨네
가시로 만든 면류관
우리를 위해 쓰셨네
온 세상 만물 가져도
주 은혜 못 다 갚겠네
놀라운 사랑 받은 나
몸으로 제물 삼겠네
