Scribble-scratch and doodle-play—
My crayon talks in its own way!
“Hello!” says Red, “Let’s draw a rose!”
Blue says “Clouds!” and off it goes!
Green makes grass with little hops—
Purple hums and never stops.
Crayon friend, talk to me,
What should our next picture be?
Let’s draw fast! Let’s draw slow!
Let’s make a world with colors—go!
My crayon says, “Let’s draw a star,”
Then zooms across the paper far.
It loops and swirls and paints a cat,
Then giggles, “Oops! It’s wearing a hat!”
Crayon friend, talk to me,
What should our next picture be?
Let’s draw fast! Let’s draw slow!
Let’s make a world with colors—go!
“Now color doors,” my crayon said,
And through we walked on rainbow thread!
My pictures move, they wink and wave—
We run through castles, bold and brave!
Crayon friend, talk to me,
What should our next picture be?
Let’s draw fast! Let’s draw slow!
Let’s make a world with colors—go!
When drawing’s done, we take a rest,
I hug my crayon—it’s the best!
It whispers soft, “See you next time,”
And rolls away in sleepy rhyme…
Crayon friend, talk to me,
What should our next picture be?
Let’s draw fast! Let’s draw slow!
Let’s make a world with colors—go!
Scribble… whisper… color… friend.
