Our Ceasing Voice

It's been twelve weeks
And all the grief
They always bragged but lied about
Had left the streets
We used to drive and walk around

And just dark deeds
Delight the eye
That's usually caught to mope around
Forbidding change
We used to dream, not doubt about

And soon the singing mourning doves
Escaped their world of make believe
And as there's silence from above
I'll leave behind what they deceived
