It’s cold now, still it comforts me
The mug still sweats, the coaster’s damp
Like time forgot to lift the lamp
The mug you left still sweats your name
As if the heat recalls the same
I sip around it, can’t move on
It’s warm where all the you is gone
The stain it leaves, I never clean
As if forgetting would be mean
You left in steps too soft to chase
But every cup still holds your trace
And though you’re gone, the warmth remains
Inside the glass, between the stains
