화려한 밤, 푸른 달빛이 내 얼굴을 덮고
A breath within the fog,
안개 속의 숨결,
That’s where I was born
나는 그 사이에서 태어났다
I remember your final breath
너의 마지막 숨결을 기억해
Even your warmest cries
너의 따뜻한 울음마저도
They bloomed in my ears like flowers
내 귀에선 꽃처럼 피어났지
Love and hatred —
사랑과 증오 -
Even indifferent gods turned their eyes from me
심지어 무관심한 신들조차 나를 외면했다
With both eyes I slit the veil of human virtue
나는 두 눈으로 인간의 위선을 베고
I opened what lay beneath
그 밑에 감춰진 것을 열었네
Only to reveal a truth no one dared to hold
아무도 감히 담지 못한 진실을 드러내기 위해서
Some called me a monster
누군가는 나를 괴물이라 했고
Others... salvation
또 누군가는 나를 구원자라 불렀지
Even after carving out a heart
심장을 도려낸 후에도
I never cried
나는 울지 않았다
Redder than blood, your silent scream
피보다 더 붉은, 너의 침묵 속 비명
It poured into my soul
그 비명은 내 영혼에 스며들어
And made me sing
나를 노래하게 했지
On London’s sleeping roads
모두가 잠든 런던의 길 위
I still walk
나는 여전히 걷고 있다
Wishing not to be found
누군가 날 찾지 않기를 바라며
Yet longing to be remembered
또 누군가는 나를 기억하기를 바라며
I am merely an unwritten sentence of the night
